On a recent visit to Chicago for an annual Traders Sojourn I heard lots of horror stories about Flash crash losses ranging from 1 Million to 11 Million just from guys I know, and it seems many lives get altered when you have these cataclysmic disruptions. There is an old saying in the execution business on the exchange floors which goes like this, “There are only 2 kinds of losses – Big Ones – and little ones…..

Regulators probing the stock market “flash crash” last May still have not uncovered a single cause but will point to “stub quotes” and other previously identified issues as having exacerbated the market’s dramatic drop, according to two sources familiar with the probe. A third source said the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is still asking about a “smoking gun” that might explain the May 6 crash, when the Dow Jones industrial average plunged some 700 points before sharply recovering, all in about 20 minutes.

“Quote stuffing,” in which large numbers of rapid-fire stock orders are placed and canceled almost immediately, will not be fingered as one of the causes of the crash, sources have said.
But the SEC is increasingly probing market data from other trading days, looking for possible problems with what are sometimes excessive numbers of buy and sell orders, said the third source. The worry is that such a flood of orders could clog data feeds and confuse investors, giving the sender an unfair advantage to arbitrage between marketplaces.

Quote stuffing, a new term describing this possibly illegal trading practice, differs from stub quotes, which are orders placed well off the market prices for stocks.

Regulators are soon due to issue a follow-up report on the crash, which rattled investors worldwide and exposed flaws in the high-speed electronic marketplace.

So far, the report by market regulators does not contain a lot of new information and is expected to repeat earlier findings that a number of events caused the crash, two sources said. The sources requested anonymity because regulators are still collecting data and finalizing the report.

The sources said the report will point to stub quotes as one of the structural issues that contributed to the plunge.
The SEC has already adopted a pilot program to help prevent a repeat of the crash. That circuit-breaker program pauses trading in a single stock when that stock is in crisis, and has tripped several times since it started in June.
The SEC also wants to ban stub quotes and is expected to propose such a rule in the near future.

For months, the SEC and other market regulators have grappled with half a dozen working hypotheses to explain the flash crash. They have probed links between declines in prices of stock index products and the severe mismatch in liquidity, among other things.

Although regulators still cannot explain what went wrong, they are considering new rules to solve problems exposed by the flash crash.
In addition to the single-stock circuit breakers and stub quote ban, the SEC wants to tighten rules for marketmakers to ensure liquidity during stressful times.

The SEC is also mulling updates to its broader circuit breakers to give markets a brief reprieve should they plunge uncontrollably. Current marketwide circuit breakers were not triggered during the May crash

Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. is gaining exposure both domestically and internationally through “Nude Nuns with Big Guns,” a film from its DarKnight Pictures division. The film made its domestic premier on Friday, September 24th at the Arizona Underground Film Festival in Tucson. In existence for three years, the purpose of the 8-day long film festival is to showcase the works of filmmakers with unique visions and talents.

With regards to the U.S. debut, Camelot VP of Marketing and PR, Jessica Kelly, commented, “This cult-film festival is the perfect platform to unveil the long awaited US premiere of ‘Nude Nuns with Big Guns’,” commented. “With films like Machete doing well here in the US, we expect solid results for ‘Nude Nuns’.”

Today, Camelot announced that “Nude Nuns” will be released in France by the M6 Group, the acclaimed media group which recently acquired all media rights for the movie for France.

M6 Group was established around the M6 Channel in 1987. Over the years, M6 has become a powerful multimedia group offering a wide selection of programs, products and services which it distributes through a wide array of platforms including, but not limited to, television, internet and mobile phones. Recently, M6 has gained recognition through the release of the Academy Award nominated, “The Reader,” starring Kate Winslet (Winslet won Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, BAFTA Award for Best Actress, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress and the Academy Award for Best Actress for the film) and “Knowing,” starring Nicolas Cage. In addition, the M6 Group has acquired the rights to the blockbuster ‘Twilight’ series.

“Nude Nuns’ fan base is growing exponentially,” commented Jeffrey Giles, Camelot VP of Sales and Distribution. “M6 is a powerhouse distributor that realizes the marketability on this film and can capitalize on it.”

The film chronicles Sister Sarah’s revenge on corrupt clergy who drugged, beat, raped and left her for dead after she took her vows to become a nun. Nearly dead, Sister Sarah receives a message from God to seek revenge on those who abused her. As a result of the message, the Sister arms herself with an arsenal of guns and heads out to seek her vengeance. “Nude Nuns with Big Guns” is a Freak Show Entertainment Production.

As we head into the start of the NFL Football Season, it's time to highlight Sports Franchises who were victimized

As we head into the start of the NFL Football Season, it’s time to highlight Sports Franchises who were victimized by Fast Talking Stock Promoters. Here are a few deals which soured:

Aussie Soles arrived on the scene in 2008 led by Craig Taplin, who lives in Kelowna. The company planned to market Croc-type shoes emblazoned with the CFL logo in exchange for a royalty on every pair sold.

The Lions gave the company advertising exposure in return for cash payments, individual team members promoted the product, and offensive lineman Angus Reid served as the company’s national sales manager.

The football connection was shamelessly touted by Tim Fields, editor of a U.S. newsletter called Untapped Wealth: “Soon every CFL team will be selling Aussie Soles with its team logo. Sales for the first year alone are projected to be 120,000 pairs,” Fields gushed, suggesting that revenues could reach $200 million.

The newsletter cost $300,000 and was financed by a mystery company called Sujon Limited, which meant it was nothing more than a paid ad.

Taplin says he had no idea who Sujon is, and claimed he had nothing to do with the newsletter, but he took no steps to publicly repudiate its contents.

By June 2008, the stock had soared to $2.55 US, giving the company a total stock market value of nearly $100 million US. The company never reported any sales, and by January 2009, Taplin had quit the company and wasn’t returning calls.

One of the other departing directors was New York lawyer Joel Pensley, who also served as the firm’s legal counsel. Pensley had a prior disciplinary record. In 1999, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission cited him for his involvement in a scheme to sell unregistered penny stock, and for filing false disclosure documents. He settled the matter by agreeing not to practice before the commission for three years.

Now Pensley is in trouble again. On May 5, he was cited by the SEC for allegedly filing false opinion letters attesting to the validity of shares issued by Spongetech Delivery Systems Ltd. Several others, including Spongetech’s most senior officers and directors, were also cited in connection with an elaborate scheme to artificially inflate the stock.

Spongetech is a New York-based company that sells soap-filled sponges. It had sponsorship deals with many different professional baseball, football, basketball and hockey teams in the United States, and advertised extensively in sports venues.

The company reported rapidly growing revenues and profits, but according to the SEC, it was all a ruse. The customers were fake, the sales orders were bogus and the revenues were fictitious. The stock is now trading at a fraction of a cent.

If it’s any consolation to the Lions, many of the professional sports franchises that were dealing with Spongetech were also burned.

-

A B.C. educational scholarship plan dealer has paid $50,000 to settle charges that it failed to maintain adequate compliance practices or correct deficiencies from past compliance examinations.

In a settlement agreement with the B.C. Securities Commission, Heritage Education Funds Inc. acknowledged that BCSC staff conducted compliance examinations in 2000, 2003, and 2008. The 2008 examination found “numerous repeat deficiencies” that had not been corrected from previous examinations.

Among other deficiencies, Heritage’s actual business procedures were not consistent with its written business procedures; the firm failed to provide certain records to staff which prevented them from examining those records or determining their adequacy; and the firm failed to ensure that its branches were subjected to regular on-site examinations and its employees were following rules and regulations.

As aggravating factors, the settlement agreement noted that BCSC staff “required significant resources to conduct their compliance examination of Heritage,” and there were two instances during the 2008 examination where Heritage representatives were “uncooperative with commission staff.” It also noted that Heritage has had previous client complaints.

As well as paying a $25,000 penalty and $25,000 in costs, Heritage has agreed to engage an independent compliance monitor to provide annual reviews of the firm’s compliance and supervision systems and practices for two years, starting in 2010.

Heritage is a Toronto-based company with offices coast to coast. In B.C., the firm’s managing agency director is Tesh Chhachhi of Vancouver.

-

B.C. Securities Commission enforcement staff have issued a temporary cease-trade order against two offshore financial firms that have been pressuring B.C. residents to invest in foreign exchange contracts.

The companies are Orion Advisory Services S.A., which has offices in Mexico, Spain and Panama, and IntelliSource Markets B.V. (a. k.a. IS Markets), which has offices in Nevis and Amsterdam. Neither is registered to conduct securities business in B.C.

The commission alleges that, from October 2008 to March 2010, representatives of Orion and IS Markets contacted nine B.C. residents by telephone and e-mail.

In one case, sales reps called a B.C. woman daily for about three weeks, pressuring her to open an account with IS Markets and telling her she would make up to 300-per-cent profit. She eventually agreed to open an account.

In another case, sales reps called a B.C. man about 30 times in the summer of 2009, pressuring him to open an account with IS Markets and telling him he would make big returns. He also opened an account.

The commission said two others also opened accounts. In all, the four clients invested a total of $59,600 US in gold and euro options.

Best advice is always to do extended due dilligence on any investment and stay away from ever buying anyhting over the telephone. Go Bears!!!

I’m not sure what it means anymore. Quiet markets used to mean a rally was coming, but I think since the housing crash in Oct 2008 we have gone from BC to AD. The BC means Before Housing Crash and AD means After Departure of the Retail Investor.

I recall the growth of retail in the 1980′s and it seems to have run a cycle where retail investors have had enough. The days of depending on your broker to pick stocks and execute trades is in the rear view mirror.

Volume has stayed steady but it is mostly a result of technology, frequency trading and arbitrage..this is not your fathers stock market anymore it is a cresting wave that has seen better days. the number of #1 Harvard Grads going to Goldman Sachs is long gone.

I don’t think this lasts forever, but stock market cycles take years to shift, and anyone long Financial Services Stocks needs to be aware of this trend. We are in a world of Self Directed 401-K’s, Instant Execution and Penny Stock Participation…which is not bad for guys like me!!!

I loved the 1980’s. It was a grand time in Chicago wearing a leisure suit with exposed stitching on Rush Street. Harry Carey was still alive and drinking Budweiser in the 7th inning and the trading pits in the Chicago Commodity markets were bustling as new financial derivative products were all the craze for Wall Street. This really put Chicago on the financial map.

One man really stood out to me. His name was Leo Melamed Chairman Emeritus (NYSE:CME) and he would stand at the exit door at the CME trading floor and ask market makers (called locals) who were finishing up their days in the Live Cattle or Pork Belly pits to stay around and spend 15 minutes in the new S&P 500 Futures Pit. We would joke that it was and easy way to lose $1500 bucks in 15 minutes and would prefer to play cards on the trains back to the suburbs.

None of us knew what Leo knew. I would like to catch up with him, although he is a bona-fide rock star today, I hope he is relaxing with his grand kids healthy and happy.

He and his crew did so much for the City of Chicago and powered the “Loop” to its current lofty status as home to our President and future Host of the Olympic Games. Thank You Leo for your hard work you brought many young minds to Chicago. You were the real-life antithesis of Gordon Gekko that not many know about.

Wall Street 2 due in 2010 with Shia LeBouf will playing Jake Moore a young trader who is set to marry Gordon Gekko’s daughter in the film – began shooting in New York this week. Charlie Sheen prepares a cameo as Bud Fox while Shia spent weeks hanging with Jim Chanos and other Hedge Fund guys prepping for their roles. Little does Shia know that his character will undoubtedly motivate many young men and women to head back to Wall Street in the same way Bud Fox did in the 1980’s. Greed was good then – but bad now – and the plot centers around Gordon helping Jake (Shia) navigate the waters…. I have seen a couple of scripts…but only Oliver knows what goes on the cutting room floor. Many predict Q4 2010 as a date that will eventually shake out declining prices for equities globally and maybe Oliver can pick a market bottom like he did back in the day.

Thank You Oliver, Shia and Leo. I want the 1980’s back!! I have the Leisure suit with the exposed stitching dry cleaned and ready to go.

To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me InDowntown Savannah night before last.

Date: 2010-10-6, 1 :43 a.m. E.S.T.

I was the guy wearing the black Bur berry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend’s purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message.

First, I’d like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn’t expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason. My girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber Model 1911 …45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head … isn’t it?!

I know it probably wasn’t fun walking back to wherever you’d come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I’m sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again].

After I called your mother or “Momma” as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you’d done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, — on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 150 gallons and was extremely grateful!

I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go’s, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!]

I then threw your wallet into the big pink “pimp mobile” that was parked at the curb … after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver’s side of the car.

Later, I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell phone. Ma Bell just now shut down the line, although I only used the phone for a little over a day now, so what ‘s going on with that? Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DA’s office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target.

The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.).

In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you, but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you’ve chosen to pursue in life. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day!

Thoughtfully yours,

The medical device companies today had quite a run on the bulletin boards. InoLife Technologies, Inc. (OTC:INOL) is the second such company I’ve written on today that had monster gains after announcing positive news with potential revenue growth. Shares of InoLife Technologies jumped more than 82 percent to a new 52-week high before closing at $0.082 per share on very heavy volume of more than 19 million shares. Viking Systems, Inc. (OTC:VKNG) was the other stock from this space that closed with a gain of 61 percent at $0.45 per share on heavy volume of more than 3.2 million shares.

InoLife Technologies is like many other SmallCap companies from the medical device sector facing significant barriers to entry from more established and over-capitalized companies… Who usually just buyout whatever ground-breaking technology instead of losing market share.

In a press release today, InoLife Technologies announced that its presented Cytochrome P450 2C1 test to determine a person’s ability to metabolize Plavix is immediately available to the medical industry which includes physicians, hospitals, medical clinics, and pharmacies. Physicians are currently placing orders on a daily basis and are incorporating the Cytochrome P450 2C1 Plavix Metabolizing test into their patients health programs.

InoLife’s Cytochrome P450 2C1 test is currently being used to identify how a patient’s genetics may affect the body’s response to Plavix. The Company’s mission is to identify, develop, integrate and bring to market innovative healthcare-based products and services that provide timely and practical solutions. The primary products and services that InoLife is currently addressing focuses upon those specific products and services that provide key solutions through the innovative use of specific DNA testing and Genetic analysis systems.

We will add InoLife to our watch-list and relay more information as it becomes available to our readers. Always do your due diligence before investing, especially in penny stocks. I did also notice that last week a common stock promoter announced an upcoming campaign for InoLife so, it looks like that campaign is on-going.

Ten years ago, Microtune invented the world’s first high-performance broadband TV tuner on an integrated circuit and ushered in the age of radio frequency (RF) miniaturization. The Company pioneered state-of-the-art enabling chip technology that now makes digital TV signal reception possible, anywhere, on any class or size of consumer electronics device. Today, the Company is a leading international supplier of TV tuners, receivers and demodulators to brand-leading cable, consumer electronics and automotive electronics manufacturers. Microtune’s silicon and systems products enable a wide range of popular entertainment and communications, from ultra high-speed Internet services and high-definition TV to digital video recording and car radios.

More recently, Microtune announced a cost-effective digital television (DTV) receiver chipset, targeted for the China market, that enables China’s TV manufacturers to deliver superior broadcast and cable reception across TVs of any size, model or price point. When implemented in televisions, the highly integrated DTV chipset allows China’s domestic electronics manufacturers to simplify TV front-end designs, reduce costs and increase reliability.

Shares of Microtune up 18% on the news. Net revenue for the second quarter of 2010 was $24.3 million, a 9% increase compared to net revenue of $22.4 million for the first quarter of 2010, and a 39% increase compared to net revenue of $17.6 million for the second quarter of 2009. For the second quarter of 2010, gross margin percentage was 51.4%.

USA MCO is the largest, most comprehensive, privately-held Preferred Provider Organization in America. Physicians Alliance of America serves over 15,000 doctors of all specialties and practice sizes across the country. These customers combined with PASHealth clients form a base of over 500,000 physicians and practices who will now have the ability to use iMedicor’s National Healthcare Communications Network. Regular subscriptions will cost $24.95 per month for unlimited use of the Network. For any given physician’s practice, non-licensed staff members can be included as part of the doctor’s subscription at no additional cost. The marketing of the Network services have begun as of today to select groups.

Fred Zolla, CEO of iMedicor, commented, “The National Healthcare Communications Network will address several areas within the ‘Meaningful Use’ regulations coming out of Washington, especially in the areas of interoperability, security and access to patient information by qualified sources.” Mr. Zolla continued, “Initial market research has demonstrated to our partners and to us, internally, that an upgrade to the current state of healthcare communications is not only needed, but also highly desirable throughout the medical community. We believe the widespread adoption of The National Healthcare Communication Network by physicians will provide a major step forward in creating interoperable HIPAA-compliant communications throughout the healthcare community.”

As far as projections, iMedicor anticipates a 20% adoption rate over the next few months and expects regular growth month-over-month. The medical records industry has already begun the evolution to digital records. This trend is not expected to slow as the medical space recognizes the benefits of digital record keeping and storage. There are many companies developing products to capitalize on this transformation. iMedicor has begun its strategic marketing to capitalize with its partnerships and launch of the Network.

More information on iMedicor, The National Healthcare Communications Network and the investment opportunity presented by VMCI can be found on the Company’s website at www.imedicor.com.

Investors are still buying shares of First Liberty Power Corp. (OTC:FLPC) today after MicroStockProfit started a promotional campaign for the exploration stage Lithium mining company based in Nevada. As I write, shares of FLPC were trading up an additional 7 percent at $0.47 per share on double its average daily volume.

Not bad after gaining nearly 42 percent yesterday on robust volume of almost 500,000 shares, compared to an average daily volume of about 68,000 shares. First Liberty Power did have news yesterday issuing a press release announcing a second survey of its Nevada property for more Lithium that apparently had some positive results.

In several e-mails I received about First Liberty the analyst highlighted many technical indicators that pointed to a breakout for this SmallCap stock, but usually lightly traded stocks like First Liberty don’t have the volume to support accurate historical technical analysis so, I would take those MACD and MA numbers with a grain of salt.

But hey, the e-mails definitely ramped up the volume and, according to the disclaimer, a third party paid only $50,000 for the nearly $300,000 in stock that has swapped hands so far in the last day and a half.

We will have to wait and see how much First Liberty gives back after the promotion campaign ends so, keep coming back and we will update you on this and many other potential gems from the SmallCap space. Always do your due diligence before investing, especially in penny stocks.

Just for reference, First Liberty is a Nevada based mineral exploration company with a primary focus on lithium and vanadium exploration and development in the United States. The Company is positioned to capitalize on the anticipated increase in demand for both lithium carbonate and vanadium that is projected to result from the adoption and use of clean renewable energy that will fuel demand for products that utilize lithium-ion batteries and vanadium redox batteries.

Doctors are always looking for advancements in technology to make their jobs more precise and ultimately increase the chances of success in every surgical technique. Many of the surgeries today use technology that is limited by 2D visualization systems instead of 3D. One such company today announced FDA approval for its ground breaking 3D technology for medical surgery, and investors made sure to pick up on the news and start buying.

Shares of Viking Systems, Inc. (OTC:VKNG) spiked more than 57 percent to a new 52-week high of $0.44 per share before settling at its current price of $0.39 per share on 6-times average daily volume of more than 881,000 shares. We have reported on this company before and its always nice to see one of the SmallCap players get some good news, especially when the good news has to do with improving the possibility of success in surgical techniques across the board.

Viking Systems announced in a press release that it received clearance of its 510(k) application by the Food and Drug Administration related to its Next Generation 3DHD visualization system.

Jed Kennedy, Viking President & CEO said, “We are very pleased to have received timely FDA 510(k) clearance of our Next Gen system for a broad base of minimally invasive procedures including general surgery, urology, gynecology, spinal, bariatric, ENT and thoracic.”

Kennedy continued, “Because Viking is ISO13485-certified, we will be able to self-certify the 3DHD for the European community. This keeps us on track to be in the U.S. and European markets in the fourth quarter of 2010 as planned.”

Nearly all minimally invasive procedures are currently performed with a 2D camera. The Company plans to provide surgeons with high quality 3D vision in a cost effective and flexible format which has the potential to not only improve the quality of care but also to reduce procedure time and therefore cost of procedures.

Viking’s Next Generation 3DHD system provides surgeons from a broad base of surgical specialties with the ability to perform complex minimally invasive surgery with a revolutionary vision system that restores their natural depth perception previously sacrificed with 2D systems.

We will continue to follow Viking Systems and contact company management to get updates and deliver them to our readers. Always do your due diligence before investing, especially in penny stocks. Viking Systems is definitely one stock to add to your watch-list and see if they can stay on track for the expected launch into Europe and U.S. markets by the fourth quarter of 2010.

I walked thru the gameroon at Shawshank and happened upon Dewey Schneebley with all the video consoles laid out

I walked thru the gameroom at Shawshank and happened upon Dewey Schneebley with all the video consoles laid out so I asked him a few questions about the state of the gaming industry.

Andy: Dewey what are the key points in gaming?

Schneebley:

Our checks suggest that pre-orders for Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops (scheduled to launch on November 9) is tracking well and seems to be slightly up Y/Y, which is better than our expectation. Given the strong pre-order activity and a strong buzz, we believe that the title could perform better than our expectation (we have modeled 13 million units in 4Q) and deliver upside to our 4Q estimates (we estimate 4Q revenue at $2.34 billion and EPS at $0.49 versus the Street at $2.32 billion and $0.51).

Similarly, pre-order activity on Microsoft’s Halo Reach (scheduled for launch on September 14) seems to be tracking well, which validates our view that the environment may not be all that bad for the top titles in each of the categories.

On the other hand, despite the controversy, pre-orders on Medal of Honor (scheduled for launch on October 12) have continued to languish and lag significantly behind the other two first-person-shooter titles, Halo Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops. Although the title is almost a month away from the launch, given the trend in pre-order activity, we are less optimistic around its potential break-out performance.

Encouragingly, our checks suggest that GameStop’s digital downloadable content (DLC) sales initiative seems to have received a strong initial response. We believe that DLC sales through GameStop could be an incremental opportunity for the publishers as it helps grow users’ awareness of DLC through GameStop’s trained employees (push versus pull) and allows users to use one more currency (i.e., used games) to buy DLC. We believe that DLC could not only help increase ARPU but also help improve persistence, i.e., re-purchase of the next title in the franchise.

The top titles, based on the activity of pre-orders (Publisher, Scheduled launch date), were:

Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision, 11/09/2010)

Halo Reach (Microsoft, 09/14/2010)

Fallout Las Vegas (Bethesda Softworks, 10/19/2010)

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (Activision, NA)

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (Ubisoft, 11/16/2010)

Medal of Honor (Electronic Arts, 10/12/2010)

Fable III (Microsoft, 10/26/2010)

NBA 2K 11 (Take-Two Interactive, 10/05/2010)

Dead Rising 2 (Capcom, 09/28/2010)

Andy: Holy shit Dewey where in the hell do you think this stuff up!!!

Stocks were generally weak in Asian Trade. The Nikkei led the way down with a loss of more than two percent, the Hang Seng was almost one and a half percent lower, Australia lost 0.8% and Shanghai was off by a fraction. Most indexes in Europe are fractionally higher, with the Footsie currently up by a quarter percent and the Dax higher by 0.4%. US stock futures are up by about a third of a percent as I write.

*The July reading of Japan’s Machine Orders is +8.8%, more than four times the expected increase.

*The July reading of Japan’s Current Account Balance was a surplus of Y1.46 trillion, up 7.5% from the month before. The larger than expected surplus was the result of a 1.8% month on month increase in exports and a 3.4% decline in imports.

*The July reading of Germany’s Balance of Trade was a slightly larger than expected surplus of EU13.5 billion, which was down about five percent from June, the result of a month on month drop for exports and imports, with the latter getting hit harder.

*The July reading of Germany’s Industrial Production was +0.1%, well short of the 1.0% gain that was forecast.

*UK home prices rose 0.2% in August on a month on month basis, better than the -0.5% that was expected.

*The July reading of UK Industrial Production was +0.3% on a monthly basis, one tenth shy of the estimate.

*US mortgage applications were down 1.5% in the week ended September 3, but it was applications for refinancing that was the problem, this fell 3.1% while applications for purchase were up 6.3% from the week before.

*The weekly report on chain store sales from ICSC showed a decline of 0.4% on a week on week basis for the week ended September 4; this is the fifth weekly drop in sales in the last six weeks. Sales were up 1.8% for the week versus the corresponding week from a year ago.

*The Treasury plans to sell $21 billion re-opened 10 Year Notes today, the results will be announced just after noon CDT.

*The Fed’s Beige Book is due to be released at 1:00pm CDT.

*Minneapolis Fed boss Kocherlakota is scheduled to speak on “Inside the FOMC” at 1:30pm CDT.

*The July reading of Consumer Credit is due out at 2:00pm CDT, it is expected to be a decline of $4.5 billion.

(“BMTS”) announced today that industry-wide respected businessman, Manny Losada, has agreed to join the BMTS Board of Directors. Manny brings more than 25 years of domestic and international experience to BMTS in the Company’s quest to take the Demolizer® II to new levels in sales and rentals.

Manny has proven has ability to produce at a various large companies throughout his career including Medical Actions Industries, B. Braun Medical, Henry Schein and Caligor/MicrobioMedics, Inc. Mr. Losada was a team leader in mergers and acquisitions during his time at Caligor/MicrobioMedics by successfully completing five acquisitions of regional hospital suppliers to support a 5-year, double digit company growth rate.

Presently, Manny is the President of MedPro Associates. MedPro is an industry giant representing many organizations that specialize in healthcare and sell their products either through distribution agreements or directly to consumers within the market. Mr. Losada is responsible for the strategic growth and business developments of MedPro. With his extensive global experience, Mr. Losada will be integral to the growth of BioMedical Technology Solutions, the wholly-owned subsidiary of BMTS through which BMTS operates.

Don Cox, President and CEO of BMTS, stated, “We are truly excited that Manny has agreed to join our Board of Directors. With his tremendous experience and proven leadership, Manny understands what is needed to develop long term strategic growth. I have gotten to know Manny very well over the past few years. He is a strategic thinker that has a depth of the knowledge on the diverse healthcare industries that is extremely difficult to find. As we continue our expansion both domestically and internationally, Manny is going to be an invaluable resource to our team.”

BioMedical Technology Solutions appears to be getting ready to ramp up business. In mid-August, BioMedical announced that Gex Richardson resigned from the positions of Director and General Counsel to aggressively pursue international distribution and domestic rentals of the Demolizer® II on a full-time basis. Last week, the Company announced the returning of a half a million warrants by Mr. Cox for no consideration. Previous to those press releases, the Company announced more sales of the System to U.S. HealthWorks and the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. Mr. Cox also mentioned in these press releases that there have been ongoing negotiations with large corporations. These press releases and comments within in conjunction with the fact that U.S. HealthWorks had originally been doing a “trial” of the Demolizer® II System in select markets, that was admittedly a success, poses the question of “What is in store for BioMedical Technology Solutions and Demolizer® II sales and rentals?” The fact is the world is ever-shifting to green, environmentally friendly products. The proprietary BMTS product is the only one of its kind that achieves a green way of disposing of the biomedical waste that is produced every day across the world and does it at a less expensive cost than standard biomedical waste disposal. Never one to speculate too heavily, but it seems as if pieces of the puzzle are pulling together. Time will tell.

More information on BioMedical Technology Solutions, the Demolizer® II System and the investment opportunity presented by BMTL is available on the Company’s website at www.bmtscorp.com.

The Energy Drink Market has many players that attempt becoming the next RedBull or Monster only to come up short usually because they run out of money. One such company from the SmallCap space I ran across this morning was Kore Nutrition, Inc. (OTC:KORE) who markets its energy drink "All In" exclusively through their website allinenergy.com instead of taking the more traditional shelf-space approach.
In heavy trading today, KORE spiked up 13 percent to $0.62 per share before settling at its current price of $0.56 per share on volume of nearly 350,000 shares (more than 10 times average daily volume).

The Energy Drink Market has many players that attempt becoming the next RedBull or Monster only to come up short usually because they run out of money. One such company from the SmallCap space I ran across this morning was Kore Nutrition, Inc. (OTC:KORE) who markets its energy drink “All In” exclusively through their website allinenergy.com instead of taking the more traditional shelf-space approach.

In heavy trading today, KORE spiked up 13 percent to $0.62 per share before settling at its current price of $0.56 per share on volume of nearly 350,000 shares (more than 10 times average daily volume).

What intrigued me about this company was its website only marketing approach instead of purchasing the traditional shelf-space, which is very expensive and usually the downfall of start-up companies in this space. Also, KORE is signing up several of the popular World Poker Tour stars, including Johnny Chan and Phil Hellmuth, to market their line of energy drinks.

The company did announce today a new advisory board with an excellent resume’ including many big name contacts that will be a must for marketing this product.

The Advisory Board will be chaired by Phil Atwell, owner of Geronimo Film Productions Inc., which has been responsible for the development of music videos for 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Eminem and Marilyn Manson, as well as commercial campaigns for Coors Light.

All In President and CEO, David Powley, stated that, “We are overwhelmed with the caliber and talent of all of our dedicated and professional Advisors and, as All In Energy products cater initially to the Professional Poker Society, we are very fortunate that Phil Atwell has agreed to Chair this Advisory Board with his substantial experience in the entertainment world.”

Another company from the SmallCap space I write on from time to time that hasn’t had as nice a post-Labor Day start is Sport Endurance (OTC:SENZ) losing 9 percent to $0.155 per share on light volume. This company has a line of energy gel-tabs that provide energy, creatine and sleep-aid solutions instead of going the overly saturated drink delivery method.

Okay so now all is right in the universe after college football finally started over the long Labor Day weekend, plus my best friend just had a fantastic wedding weekend in DFW… Now the markets will begin to shift gears after the typical “wait and see” attitude that comes with the last few days leading up to Labor Day. From the Bulletin Boards I’ve noticed several promotion campaigns (effective I should say as well) that started up yesterday with the “teaser” e-mails being sent out last night.

So far today there are 6 relevant movers from the SmallCap space I’ve noticed that are worth taking a more in-depth look at:

Shares of Liberty Star Uranium Metals Corp. (OTC:LBSR) were trading up to a new 52-week high of $0.15 per share on incredible volume of nearly 18 million shares. I received e-mails from MicroStockProfit.com about this one being under promotion so, no surprise here.

Shares of Revolutions Medical Corp. (OTC:RMCP) also hit a new 52-week high of $0.80 per share on volume of nearly 1 million shares. RMCP only averages about 96,000 shares traded per day.

Shares of Silver Falcon Mining, Inc. (OTC:SFMI) were trading up 18 percent at $0.24 per share on volume of 1.9 million shares, more than double the average daily volume.

Shares of Sky Petroleum, Inc. (OTC:SKPI) flirted with its 52-week high and is now sitting at $0.63 per share, up 5 percent, on volume of over 412,000 shares. SKPI only averages about 344,000 shares traded per day.

Shares of First Liberty Power Corp. (OTC:FLPC) were trading up 17 percent at $0.42 per share on volume of nearly 410,000 shares. FLPC only averages about 63,000 shares per day.

Shares of Kore Nutrition, Inc. (OTC:KORE) jumped all the way up to $0.62 per share before settling to its current price of $0.57 per share, still up 4 percent on the day. Volume was very heavy for KORE at 329,000 shares compared to its daily average of 31,000 shares.
